God Bless Texas!

Boy did we have fun!  We wore our boots,

We ate Blue Bell Ice Cream, and played on the swings with Lil Joe.                                   We built fires in the wheelbarrow firepit where we roasted marshmallows, and burned toys (a la Sid in Toy Story!)

Then we had chocolate cake and more ice cream and enjoyed the mild fall temperatures.

We went out for fabulous Mexican food and margaritas - - -

and
Dr Pepper, by the carafe, for the kids.

Then we went to the Navy/North Texas State football game.

(We won 74-62.  And no, that's NOT a basketball score.  It just looks like it!)

We were all dolled up in our spirit gear for the game - tattoos and all.

And members of the Naval Academy's Drum and Bugle Corps bought black cowboy hats to wear during the game.  When in Rome. . .

Then we went to Rudy's for barbecue and beer.  And more Dr Pepper.

And because we were in Texas, we had big hair.  Well, some of us did.

In short, we had more fun than should be allowed, we ate more than we should have and we laughed a lot!  Thank you girlfriend,  for taking on all of us and making us feel so welcome.  It's your turn now to head Northeast!
