Such young faces full of expectation and excitement. We could never have guessed how many twists and turns our lives would take, and that our future would hold three children, a dog, a cat, 12 major moves, many deployments and military separations. Nor could we have guessed that that the love that we felt for each other was just the tip of the iceberg, and that the years since would refine and deepen our commitment. In some respects, we can't believe it's been sixteen years since that day - as it feels like just a moment ago. On the other hand, we can hardly remember what life was like before our lives were entwined. I am grateful every single day for this man who makes me laugh, who listens to me, who is the world's best father to our children. I am the luckiest girl in the world.
I'd do it all over again in a New York minute!
Edited to add: Not only is he all of the amazing attributes listed above, but sometimes he surprises me by emptying the refrigerator of all the science experiments growing in it. Thank you, babe - I noticed it and I so appreciate it!!!
I'm not surprised, y'all sure seem like a perfect couple, two peas in a pod, looked like to me!
